Since we were in Petal for Christmas, Parker did not get his big surprise until Sunday.

I love my family!

Shaving Already????

This weekend, we went home to see our family. It was so wonderful to see the progress made at my mom's house. It doesn't even look like the house I lived in for 22 years. It is amazing. Alex did not feel well this weekend. He has been battling the side effects of some medication. However, we went shopping Friday night....we had to try and finish some Christmas shopping. We went to see the Christmas lights in Purvis with Alex's mom & Bill. His brother Scott and Shellie met us there. Parker used the pathway as his running track.

These are some pics of the weekend with my dad teaching Parker how to shave. I better watch out for the razor beside my tub....I might need to keep it stashed away now.

My new Improved Bedroom

We purchased new furniture back in July and my parents added some of the final touches in Sept. We still need a cushion for my bench....I have the fabric, a rug and some lamps, and a tv cabinet with tv....oh and a frame for my 100 children chinese panel. Oh well, I have been shamed for not posting pics for everyone that NEVER comes to visit to see.

It's begiing to look a lot like Christmas!!

Since my family have been busy remodeling their home, they will probably not visit while my house is decorated for Christmas.....well unless I decide to leave it like this permanently. I think it is pretty...and Christmas is my most favorite time. So here are lots of pictures of my house. I know...pretty silly.

Nativity

Coming Soon!

I don't know how I ever worked and kept up at home, too! It seems these past few weeks, I have just been sooooooo swamped. I know that a lot of it is self induced. I want the house to be perfectly decorated for Christmas, even if we are the only ones that see it. I have just been lost in thought and piles of stuff to do. Even my to-do lists are not helping me keep everything going. Oh well, it is the holidays after all.

I talked to a friend Friday night at Supper with Santa. She has always been one to do it all. Homemade meals, freshly baked goodies, perfectly dressed kids, gorgeously decorated and clean home....and she works full time. As we talked she told me how things have just been building up, and she was at her breaking point. She said she had to admit to herself that she just could not do it all anymore. It made me feel a little better. I guess as a mom, a wife, and first and foremost a woman, we put a great deal of pressure on ourselves and each other. It even
seems how well dressed or not the husband is, is the wife's fault.

Okay, I'm off my soap box. I know Christmas cards should have been mailed last week, but they were mailed today. Here are some snaps of the CUTEST boy you have ever seen!!! My Parker! Oh, he can tell you his first and last name, my name, and Alex's.....tooo cute!

Wow

Alex with his first golf club. He did a great job building it!

This is the yellow jacket nest that was in our garage wall. Alex had to take the wall boards off to get it out. If you click the picture it will make it bigger and you can see the yellow jackets. Thankfully it was 30 degrees Friday morning, so they would not move.

Alex made me a sucker tree!

He had a lot of GREAT help!

The Hectic Holiday's are Here!

These are some pics from our very busy weekend. It's not over yet, so I must go for now.

Daddy, Thank you

It has been raining for the last two days...which leads to Parker and I playing inside only. Today, Parker slept until 10:30. This is very unusual, but he has not been feeling his best. He has a horrible cough at night. Tonight after he had gone to sleep, he woke us with vomit. Yes, this wakes everyone up especially since he sleeps with Alex and me.

Yesterday was Veteran's Day and as a thank you email, Parker and I took the pic of Parker in his daddy's uniform. He loves the medals....which you cannot see, but he really wanted the uniform off. It is easier to play with the medals this way.

The first pic. is a recent one of Alex and Parker. Parker loves to hide his face in his shirt and have you say "where is Parker". Then he pops out and says boo hoo. I'm not sure why the "hoo" is added. Anyway, the other night Parker tried to hide his face in his daddy shirt. He got very tickled and crawled all the way up to say boo hoo. Of course we made him stay put so I could grab the always handy camera.
