Wow

Alex with his first golf club. He did a great job building it!

This is the yellow jacket nest that was in our garage wall. Alex had to take the wall boards off to get it out. If you click the picture it will make it bigger and you can see the yellow jackets. Thankfully it was 30 degrees Friday morning, so they would not move.

Alex made me a sucker tree!

He had a lot of GREAT help!

The Hectic Holiday's are Here!

These are some pics from our very busy weekend. It's not over yet, so I must go for now.

Daddy, Thank you

It has been raining for the last two days...which leads to Parker and I playing inside only. Today, Parker slept until 10:30. This is very unusual, but he has not been feeling his best. He has a horrible cough at night. Tonight after he had gone to sleep, he woke us with vomit. Yes, this wakes everyone up especially since he sleeps with Alex and me.

Yesterday was Veteran's Day and as a thank you email, Parker and I took the pic of Parker in his daddy's uniform. He loves the medals....which you cannot see, but he really wanted the uniform off. It is easier to play with the medals this way.

The first pic. is a recent one of Alex and Parker. Parker loves to hide his face in his shirt and have you say "where is Parker". Then he pops out and says boo hoo. I'm not sure why the "hoo" is added. Anyway, the other night Parker tried to hide his face in his daddy shirt. He got very tickled and crawled all the way up to say boo hoo. Of course we made him stay put so I could grab the always handy camera.

Name that band!

Most every evening, while I take my bath, Alex entertains Parker by playing the guitar. Usually Parker is content with dancing around our bedroom singing and clapping his hands. However, recently Parker has wanted to try things himself. He will pat his chest with both little hands and say "me, Me, Me". I could not resist taking these pictures.

He was musical even before he was born. I often told my mom that I was having a Pentecostal baby, since he danced to the music at church. Now, when you lay him in his bed to sleep....only at nap time.... he sings himself to sleep. He sings all the time. While cleaning up, Parker sings the "clean up, clean up, everywhere". Yes, he leaves out some words, but he has the idea....clean everywhere. And if you say the name Jesus, then you MUST sing "Jesus loves Parker". My mom started singing the "Jesus loves me" using his name when he was a newbie.

This weekend was outrageously busy, but wonderful. I finally have my husband back! The outage is over and the weekends are mine!!!! This past Friday is the first Friday Alex has had off since August. We took advantage of the nice weather, and I took advantage of Alex... We went shopping. Alex and I got a lot of our Christmas shopping done. Parker and Alex were wonderful! Parker refused to take a nap, but he maintained his usual upbeat attitude. And even though Alex reminded me constantly that this was perfect "golf weather", he enjoyed himself too. I of course had a blast! On Sat. we went to Walmart and got Parker's big "HOHO" his John Deere Tractor. It is currently hiding out in the shop. We also went to church, Sat. night for Alex to practice his music for Sunday's fellowship service. Parker and I were going to stay home...until Parker saw the guitar and his daddy leaving. So we tagged along. Parker enjoyed playing with Bro. Don's little boy Jarrod. Jarrod is in first grade. He is one of the most gentle and smart little boys I know. He very sweetly taught Parker how to shimmy under the pews without hitting his head. I know church is not where children should play, but as my sister and I remember, it makes for great fun.

Now, I must finish all the projects that I have going on... I of course have made a list so that like Santa everything is checked twice and ready for Christmas.

Mom, I cannot wait to see your house!

Happy Fall Ya'll

Oh, If you don't think voter fraud or intimidation happens, you should have been with me. This morning first thing Alex and I went to vote. We have voted in Warren County for three years ...and at the same polling station. Today of all days/of all elections, my name had been taken off the polling roster. It wasn't just taken of the district roster, but it was taken off the county roster. Alex was furious. I was so confused. His name was there. Where was mine? The lady at our precinct was very rude and treated me like I had done something wrong. After she saw that we were not leaving without voting and that Alex was not going to be quiet, she called the court house. I was only allowed to vote by paper ballot.......you know the ones they throw away.

The sick feeling I have in the pit of my stomach is still lingering as we watch the polls on Fox news. Where will we be tomorrow?

After we called everyone state and nationwide, we headed to Jackson. Alex had to see the back specialist. Thankfully he did not have to have a third injection. They are sending him to physical therapy.

Once home this afternoon, we tried to take our minds off the election and play with the boy. We got some really cute pictures. Yes, I had to dress him up....and bribe him frequently.
